Based in Newbury, Berkshire, Penmar Transport was started in July 1990. We started out small with a contract with a concrete flooring company delivering mostly in London. Now, we have grown the business steadily and have diversified into different areas of the driving industry.
We offer haulage, with a range of vehicles, vans, and lorries to tailor services to your businesses requirements.
Our Passenger transport service offers executive cars that includes the Mercedes E Class 220 and S Class 350L, a 17 seat minibus and an 8 seat Ford Torneo minibus, all supplied with a driver to take you and your friends or family to any location or event throughout the UK. Ideal for airport transfers, Royal Ascot Weddings, etc
Penmar Transport History
Mark, one of our Co-Owners, left school to take up a 4 year apprenticeship for an agricultural machinery company in Hermitage. He successfully passed exams in Diesel & Petrol Engine Welding, and Farm Machinery with distinctions.
Mark stayed at the company for 7 years before leaving to take a role with a piling & foundation company, also based in Hermitage. Here, he worked as a plant fitter, travelling to sites in London & all over the south.
In 1990, Mark and his wife Penny started Penmar Transport, beginning with a contract to a concrete flooring company delivering mostly in London. From here, they have grown Penmar Transport into the busy and successful firm that it is today. Mark manages the transport and haulage side of things, whilst Penny controls the admin and data side of the business.
